Baglamukhi is a form of Hindu Goddess Shakti. She is one of the ten Mahavidyas or Wisdom Goddesses. Bagla means a bridle and mukhi means mouth. This means one who siezes the mouth or tongue of her enemies or who paralyzes enemies. The goddess holding the tongue of an Asura (demon) is a symbolic representation of Goddess who siezes the evil.
