Kaliya Nag was a venomous snake residing in river Yamuna in Vrindavan which has affected many villagers.
Once Krishna's ball falls into the river while he is playing with cowherds. As he jumps into the river, Kaliya grips him around his body.
Krishna expands his body, releases himself, and begin to dance on Kaliya's hood, thereby hurting him and expelling out all the venom.
Kaliya accepts his defeat and leaves the river.
